Report on Martyr's Day 30 January 2018

The Department of Management Studies has organized a programme in connection with Martyrs’ day to salute the martyrdom of soldiers who lost their lives defending the sovereignty of the nation. It is also known as Sarvodaya day being the death anniversary ofMahatma Gandhi, father of our nation on 30 January 2018. The programme was conducted at the campus view   auditorium in the central block. The theme of the programme was “Relevance of Secularism in India”. Lft. Gal. C. R Sampathkumar (Rtd.) and Mr. Vipul Saini from Central Industrial Security Force, were the   guest speakers. Registrar of CHRIST, Dr Anil Joseph Pinto also graced the occasion and shared his valuable insights with the young minds.

About five hundred students have attended the programme.  A documentary film about the life of Mahatma Gandhi made by the students of the Department was shown in the programme. The programme also remembered and paid homage to allother Martyrs’ of ournation.
Prof Issac P Elias, Prof Stella Mary and Prof Jyothi were the organizing committee members of the programme.
